Quick, simple, oh yeah, and ridiculously delicious. These apple sweet potato hash browns will have you dreaming of breakfast.


  • 4 cups (960 ml) grated sweet potatoes or yams 
  • 3 cups (720 ml) of grated Granny Smith apples 
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) corn starch


  1. Commence your sweet potato grating either by hand or with your food processor
  2. Grate your granny smiths.
  3. Drop a cup of fair trade coconut oil into a pan and set it on medium high heat.
  4. Mix all the grated things in a large bowl and add in your starch.
  5. Form little patties with your hands. The video clarifies this quite succinctly.
  6. Slide patties into hot oil. Turn when golden. Salt when removed from pan but still hot.
  7. Serve with orange basil yogurt dip.
